The famous Machu Picchu two day tour by train is the easiest trip without physical efforts that would demand the hikes to the wonder. It is one of the most booked tours by many tourists, since it offers 2 days of tour, knowing part of the Sacred Valley (Chincheros, Maras, Moray) and impressive landscapes of our Peruvian Andes. Overview
The Machupicchu 2 days tour by train, starts in Cusco passing through the beautiful Sacred Valley and its brief stops to learn more about its people along with their customs and gastronomy, so we will arrive to Ollantaytambo where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town where we will spend the night and visit Machu Picchu the next day from very early in the morning.
Full Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO -CHINCHEROS – MARAS – MORAY – AGUAS CALIENTES: Bus and Train.
At the coordinated time we will pass by your hotel, to start the excursion visiting Chinchero located at an altitude of 3800msnm, where we will observe the colonial temple that was built on Inca foundations, we will also visit its typical streets and craft markets where people especially women still wear their typical dresses. They do a lot of manual textile work, representing their daily activity. Then we go in the direction of the Salineras observing a spring where salt water comes out and then reach a thousand pools, after a whole process and optiene amounts of salt for human consumption. Then we will visit the archaeological group of Moray where they show circular terraces that until today no one knows for sure of its possible function, many archaeologists and historians claim that in Inca times the site was a research center for edible products. Our lunch will be in the sacred valley and then take the train to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 2: Machu Picchu
The bus will take us from Aguas Calientes to the citadel of Machu Picchu here we will have two hours guided tour of the most important buildings and temples in the area, both in the agricultural and urban. At the end of our visit, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and visit the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) or the Inca bridge. You can visit HUAYNA PICCHU or MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN by prior reservation.(3 months in advance)
Later you will return to Aguas Calientes (by bus), and then the train to Ollantaytambo where the private transportation of Lorenzo Expeditions will be waiting for you, to return to Cusco.

We recommend carrying only the necessary luggage for the two days of the tour. Large backpacks with equipment that are not needed for the expedition should be left in the city of Cusco (at your hotel or in our main office).

1. Huayna Picchu
The cost of the ticket is $60 dollars per person.
Huayna Picchu is a mountain within the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu, it is a 45 minute hike to the top.
To purchase this additional you have to let us know at least 2 months in advance due to high demand, schedules and details of your visit to this site will be confirmed in the previous meeting that we will have.

The cost of the ticket is $60 dollars per person.
Machu Picchu Mountain is another place that many travelers want to climb to have a spectacular view of Machu Picchu, and of course we help you with all this.
3. Vistadome Train
This train costs $60 dollars per person.
All our tours include the Expeditions train if you want an additional one we can offer you the Vistadome train which gives you more comfortable seats, large panoramic windows and we will include transportation back to your hotel.

Travel Insurance
We recommend that you take out travel insurance because, in the event of a last minute cancellation of your 2-day Inca Trail trip, your prepaid, non-refundable Inca Trail travel permit can be reimbursed. Similarly, if you become ill or injured while away from home, you can be reimbursed for treatment provided as a result of a covered medical emergency during your trip.
Pre-trip meeting
The day before departure for the 2-day Machu Picchu, a mandatory pre-trip briefing is scheduled for 6 pm at your Hotel in Cusco. You will meet with your guide, who will provide you with detailed information about your trek, a list of what you need to bring, rental equipment or general questions.

How can I access Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountain?
To climb one of the two mountains, you must purchase the entrance ticket in advance. Huaynapicchu has an extra cost of $60 USD per person and it is recommended to book tickets at least 3 months in advance.
