Discover one of the most surreal and fascinating landscapes on the planet: the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt desert in the world. With more than 10 billion tons of salt stretching as far as the eye can see, this destination is a true natural wonder that seems straight out of a dream. Located in the Bolivian highlands, the Salar de Uyuni covers 10,582 km² of pure whiteness, a spectacle formed thousands of years ago when the ancient Lake Coipasa dried up, leaving behind this vast blanket of salt. At an impressive altitude of 3,656 meters above sea level, walking on this white sea is an experience that will make you feel like you’re on another planet. But the Salar is not just a salt desert. During the rainy season (from December to March), a thin layer of water covers the surface, turning it into the world’s largest natural mirror, where the sky and earth merge in an endless play of reflections. In the dry season, its geometric cracks and islands filled with giant cacti, like Incahuasi Island, will leave you breathless. On our tour, you’ll explore this natural phenomenon through 4×4 vehicle rides, visit the Train Graveyard, the charming Colchani artisan village, the famous Salt Hotel, and the stunning crystal-clear lagoons. You can also relax in the thermal baths and take unique perspective photos. To top it off, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable sunset in this dreamlike landscape.
The Lares Trek to Machu Picchu is one of the most authentic and least explored trekking routes in Cusco. Unlike the Classic Inca Trail, Salkantay Trek, or Inka Jungle Trek, this route immerses you in the essence of the Peruvian Andes, combining spectacular landscapes with a deep cultural connection. This trek starts in the Lares Valley, located east of the Urubamba Mountain Range. During the journey, you will cross stunning mountains, crystal-clear lagoons, and small Andean communities that have preserved their traditions since Inca times. Its geographic isolation has allowed these populations to maintain their traditional clothing, language, gastronomy, and ancestral customs, providing you with a unique and authentic experience. One of the most fascinating aspects of this route is the interaction with the local population. You will be able to observe and share with families who still practice textile techniques passed down from their ancestors, making garments with alpaca wool and dyed with natural dyes. In addition, along the way, you will walk alongside llamas and alpacas, sacred animals to the Incas, which remain an integral part of Andean life. The Lares Trek is not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity to connect with Pachamama and enjoy the natural beauty of the Andes. Over four days, you will experience the true spirit of trekking in Cusco, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and culminating the adventure with a visit to the majestic Machu Picchu citadel.
