Itinerary

Our expedition will start at 4:00 a.m. We will pick you up at your hotels in the city of Cusco. We will then take two hours ride in the private Lorenzo Expeditions vehicle to Pitumarca where we will have our breakfast (included).

After breakfast we will continue to the town of Chilca, where we will begin our hike. We will hike for two to three hours to the viewing point of Rainbow Mountain.

The duration of the hike depends upon the physical condition of the hikers as well as the climate. On the way, you will enjoy the flora and fauna native to this area of the Andes.

We will also have the opportunity to see llamas and domesticated alpacas.

When we reach Rainbow mountain, we will have an adequate amount of time to enjoy the view, take the best possible photographs and eat snacks provided by the agency.

When we have finished enjoying the summit, we will start the two-hour descent to Chilca, where we will have our lunch.

Afterwards, we will head back by car to the city of Cusco.

We will arrive at our destination around 6:00 p.m.

A day before the tour, Lorenzo Expeditions holds a meeting where we will give you all the details of our trip. We will also meet our guides and all the participants of the expedition. Our meeting will take place at the Estancia Imperial restaurant, located on Calle Suecia 320, where we will also offer welcome snacks.

This staff is carefully recruited and selected to be trained and adapted to the service culture of Lorenzo Expeditions.

Our guides are the most competitive in the area and they all work with us permanently (more than 8 years). They are certified and certified professionals by the government and are constantly trained by national and international entities for a better development in the different areas of action and situations.
