Discover the world's largest tropical wetland and observe jaguars in their pristine natural habitat in the heart of Brazil.
The Pantanal is the world’s largest tropical wetland, stretching over 150,000 square kilometers across Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the largest concentration of jaguars on Earth, with an estimated population of over 4,000 individuals.
During the dry season (May-September), when the waters recede, the animals gather around permanent water sources, creating unique opportunities to observe jaguars hunting, swimming, and interacting in their natural environment. Our expert guides, with over 15 years of experience, know every corner of this extraordinary ecosystem. Discover the Pantanal.
The jaguar (Panthera onca) is the largest cat in the Americas and the third largest in the world. In the Pantanal, these magnificent predators have developed unique swimming and fishing skills, adapting perfectly to the aquatic ecosystem.
The Pantanal experiences annual cycles of flooding and drought that determine the behavior of wildlife. During the dry season, rivers become corridors of life where all biodiversity is concentrated. Natural Cycles

The epicenter of jaguar safaris in the Northern Pantanal, where wild nature meets decades of experience in wildlife tourism.
Founded in 1777 during the gold rush, Poconé is the official gateway to the Northern Pantanal. This historic city in Mato Grosso serves as the logistical hub for all our expeditions, strategically located 100 km from Cuiabá.
The global epicenter for jaguar sightings, located at the confluence of the Cuiabá, Piquiri, and Três Irmãos rivers. This small riverside community is the starting point for the most successful river expeditions on the planet for observing jaguars in the wild.
The famous 147 km dirt road connecting two worlds: civilization and the wilderness. Built in the 1970s, this unique route crosses 122 wooden bridges and offers wildlife sightings along the entire route.
Our safaris follow the traditional routes of jaguars along the Cuiabá River and its tributaries. These natural corridors have been used by the felines for millennia, and our local guides know every bend, every beach, and every jaguar territory along more than 200 km of navigable rivers.
Important information: The trip from Cuiabá to Port Jofre takes approximately 3.5 hours, including stops for wildlife viewing on the Transpantaneira.

The dry season (May to September) is ideal for spotting jaguars, as the animals congregate around water sources. July to September offers the highest success rates, with up to a 98% chance of encountering them. During these months, the rivers are at their lowest level, facilitating navigation and concentrating wildlife.
Our experienced guides maintain safe distances of 10-15 meters from jaguars, following strict conservation protocols. We use specialized, quiet boats for most sightings, allowing for excellent photo opportunities while ensuring the safety of both visitors and animals.
The Pantanal is home to incredible biodiversity: giant otters, caimans, capybaras, tapirs, anteaters, more than 650 species of birds including hyacinth macaws, jabiru storks, toucans, and countless other mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. It is also possible to spot pumas, ocelots, and other smaller felines.
Most of our tours involve wildlife viewing from boats with minimal and optional hiking. We offer different levels of activity and can customize experiences based on physical abilities and preferences. The lodges have all the necessary amenities.
