Our tour begins at 8:30 am or 10:00 am (depending on the availability of the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes)

At a previously arranged time, we will pick you up from your hotel and transport you in a private car to the Ollantaytambo train station. This trip will take no more than 2 hours, during which we will be able to make a few stops along the way to see beautiful panoramic views the Sacred Valley of the Incas has to offer. You will also have the opportunity to see snowcapped mountains within the famous Andean mountain range. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, there will be free time to explore the town, which has been made famous for its preservation of ancient Incan housing. We will then embark the tourist train to Machupicchu Town (also known as Aguas Calientes), where the transfer will be waiting to take us to our accommodations for the night. You will then have free time to wander through the town or even visit the thermal baths.  That night, the guide will visit the accommodations to inform everyone of the plan for the second day of the tour.

This is the most important day of the tour – the day that we arrive at one of the 7 Wonders of the World. According to what you agree upon with your guide the night before, you will arrive to Machupicchu one of two ways – by bus (approximately 30 minutes) or by foot (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). Once everyone in your group has arrived, our guide will give a two-hour tour of the most important constructions and temples in the city. After, you will have free time to explore Machupicchu on your own, as well as hike Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountain (previous reservations are needed with two months of anticipation, plus a fee of $20. There are only 400 entrance tickets per day to climb these two mountains). On your own time, you will need to return to Aguas Calientes (via stairs or bus) You will then take a return train from the Aguas Calientes train stop to Ollantaytambo.  Private transportation will be waiting at the Ollantaytambo station to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
